Magazine Freebies! Mirenesse Cat's Eyes Liner

Hey Dolls,

If I recommend one thing this week it would be to go out and buy the latest 'Woman's Day' magazine. They have an offer at Coles for a free Mirenesse Cat's Eyes retractable eyeliner and have five colours to choose from.

The magazine is only $4 and the retractable Mirenesse liner retails for a supposed $29.99 so I thought to get two. The eyeliner is available in Black, Brown, Olive, Navy or Mauve.

I got black ( Minx Black) and brown (Kitty Brown) which worked out great as I was in desperate need of a new brown liner (I use brown liner for every-day-wear).

Here is a swatch with a camera flash. (Kitty Brown on the left, Minx Black on the right).

Here is a swatch without a flash.

The texture is smooth although feels slightly harder on the eye than on the hand. For $4 it's a great buy and the perfect time to try the product and see what you think! But be quick, this offer is only available at Coles for the next week!

Until next post,

Skin Care Routine Part 1: Face

Hey Dolls,

Not too long ago my skin became a lot harder to deal with than I was used to. My skin has always been clear (with the occasional pimple or two) but lately my skin has been feeling the stress. I started to get a lot of pimples in my oily T-zone. I had to act quickly and began my research.

I switched the products I had been using at the time and went back to some of the things I used to use. Here's the skin care routine I've been using for over a month which I have found has improved the look of my skin and overall breakout.
Simple Eye Make-up Remover $9.99

First I remove my make-up withSimple eye make-up remover. I have tried other make-up removers but this is the one I always find myself coming back to. It's oil free (leaves no oily residue) and gentle on the skin. It retails for $9.99 at Big W, Woolworths, Priceline, Kmart etc. The only downside to the product is the application. I prefer spray bottles so I transfer the product into a re-usable spray bottle.

Neutrogena Acne Stress Control Face Wash $14.99

Next I use the Neutrogena face wash. It retails for $14.99 at Big W, Priceline etc. and is well worth the money. My T-zone has become acne prone and this has helped control breakouts.

Above is a picture showing the consistency of the Neutrogena face wash formula. It has small exfoliating beads which are gentle enough for your skin yet rough enough to give your skin a good exfoliating. It gives a minty sensation on your face with a soft cucumber scent (very mild scent).

Witch Hazel $ 6.59

Finally I tone my face with my new favourite product, Witch Hazel. I had seen many reviews about the product and just recently decided to try it out myself. I could not love this product more! It's reduced the size of my pores and controls blackhead breakouts! It does have a slightly unpleasant smell but this quickly goes away.

Beauty Care Co. Make-up remover pads $2 pack of 2 x 100

I use Simple make-up remover and Witch Hazel with the make-up remover pads pictured above. These are the cheapest pads I have found which work well and don't leave any fibres behind. They can be found at Kmart. It comes in a plastic bag (see above) containing two individually wrapped packs of 100 (in each wrapped pack) This means you get a total of 200 make-up remover pads for just $2!

Here is a picture of one of the individually wrapped packsyou get two of these!

Neutrogena Healthy Defence Daily Moisturiser SPF 30+ $13.95

I have oily skin so I rarely use face moisturiser, but when I do, this is the one I use. It's fragrance free with a formula perfect for sensitive skin. You can pick this up at Big W for $13.95.

Here you can see the consistency of the product. If I'm going to mositurise I prefer to use one with a thicker consistency otherwise I'll just look oilier. This has a medium consistency and reminds me of a thick sunscreen. It definitely does the job on my skin! And a bonus is you can use it on your entire body too!

Dry Shampoo: GIRLZ ONLY VS BATISTE

$2.00 (Target)
$9.99 (Priceline, Chemist, Big W etc)

 GIRLS ONLY VERSUS BATISTE

DRY SHAMPOO

Hey Dolls,

I recently came across GIRLZ ONLY dry shampoo (pictured above, left). I was sceptical about trying the product as I have dark hair and most dry shampoos leave a white residue. I used to always buy Batiste's dry shampoo for brunettes. I hated the smell and so switched to Batiste Blush (pictured above, right). I love the smell because it contains peonys-my favourite flower!

In Australia Batiste's Blush retails for $9.99 (Brunettes formula retails for $12.99). Then I saw the price tag on the GIRLZ ONLY dry shampoo. $2!! I had to try it out! I bought one of each scent (there's three) and was happily on my way. Now here's the review:

GIRLZ ONLY -PARTY NIGHTS - FRUITY SCENT
GIRLZ ONLY - HAZY DAYS - FLORAL SCENT
GIRLZ ONLY - DAWN 'TILL DUSK - CITRUS SCENT

I was hesitant to try the citrus one at first. I tried the fruity scent. It honestly made my hair smell worse. Next I tried the floral scent. I liked it better but it didn't beat the Batiste scent. Finally I tried the citrus scented dry shampoo and fell in love! It makes your hair smell AND feel clean. It also leaves less of a white residue than Batiste which is a huge bonus! A quick spray and a brush through will leave no white residue in dark hair. They're also both the same size containing the same amount of product. For the price and the quality of the product I don't think I'll ever go back to buying Batiste!

I personally like to wash my hair every second day but even so find myself having oily hair by the next day. A quick spray of GIRLZ ONLY dry shampoo in DAWN 'TILL DUSK (the scent I most recommend) is the quick fix to making your hair look and feel super fresh again! I'm so glad I found it, and have to give credit to KrysTOOLL on youtube for sharing her amazing find!

Introductions...

Hey dolls,

I made this blog for Australian beauty addicts to be able to get the inside on cosmetics available in Australia! I was tired of viewing products which were only available in America or the UK and longing to buy them!

Here I'll be able to share my beauty secrets, hauls, deals and amazing finds that you'll be able to go out and purchase.

I love online shopping too, and I'll keep you informed of any products I purchase through e-bay etc. with CHEAP shipping (trust me, I've seen some ridiculous shipping fee prices to Australia!)

FINALLY! Let's begin a journey to find cosmetics we Australians can get our eager hands on!

Until next post,
